I am equally excited about this blog as I am about vineyards. Through VisualViticulture I will take you on an exciting and colourful journey through the vineyards of South Africa, mainly in the surrounds of Paarl, Wellington, Durbanville, the Swartland, the forefront of Franschhoek, the Klein Drakenstein area and the Perdeberg valley.
You will see things they don’t show you in books, see things through the eyes of a Viticulturist. See the wonders that the soils produce, the terroir dictates, the farmer nurtures, the winemakers craft and the public enjoys.
