Friday marked the halfway mark for the 2013 harvest. Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon are coming in very nicely with extremely good colour. The sugars range between 24.5 – 26 Balling which is just where we wanted it. The next two weeks are going to be tough with a lot of grapes ripe and little fermentation space – a problem many cellars experience every year. We finished the Sauvignon blancs today and hope to finish the last 40 tonnes Chardonnay by tomorrow.
