Windy conditions makes it difficult to spray your herbicide at the correct time. Spraying in the wind can have some serious consequences. As seen in the photo, the producer sprayed his ridges in moderate wind, resulting in half of his cover crop getting sprayed. This not only means that the cover crop is now money wasted, but also that the herbicide wasn’t applied to the ridge as intended. Spraying with a cover over your nozzles improves your efficiency and allows you to spray safely in moderate winds. Just a tip.
