Our last visit was at Domaine Gardies from Côtes du Roussillon in the South of France owned by the Gardies Family. The winery has roughly 35 hectares of vineyards, and the oldest vines are 110 year old Carignan. The soils on the property varies from schist, clay to limestone. Strong Mediterranean winds makes viticulture challenging and managing the vines under such conditions are a difficult task. Nonetheless, the Gardies Family has done this to perfection, producing great quality crops and even better quality wines.
