It is finally cold and wet. After and exhausting, dry and stressful summer, we finally had about 75 mm of rain in the past week. The cold brings rest for the vines, the rain fills up the underground reservoir, the leaves are falling steadily and pruning commenced about a week ago. From here on it is go time as far as pruning is concerned!
We are hoping for a very cold and wet winter, to take us into the summer months of October and November. Hopefully we won’t have another dry summer – but lets first get through the pruning season 🙂
