So the word is out. 2016 will be the start of an exciting new chapter in my life and career. I will leave the world of cooperatives and big scale viticulture to focus on specific projects and consultation. I have learned a lot over the past 9 harvests that I have done in the Coastal Region. The experience that I have gained through the larger scale wineries prepared me well for my future projects and I will forever be grateful for the opportunities these wineries and producers have given me.
The first project I will be working on is the Old Vines project (not its formal name though) with Andre Morgenthal, started by Rosa Kruger. I am VERY excited to get this project off the ground and can’t wait to work with the old vines of South Africa.
