It is almost Christmas… The vineyards are looking good and I can’t wait for the 2014 harvest to start. This was a wet and difficult year. We had plenty of rain in winter, and some more in the growing season. This benefited the vines with soil water status, but also put a lot of pressure on farmers with an increase of disease pressure. Downy Mildew took away quite a lot of grapes, but not too much to get worried. It’s almost time for a short holiday and then it’s crunch time!
