Yesterday we harvested some premium Chardonnay grapes. It was an absolutely beautiful day in the Paarl Valley. Harvesting started early in the morning when it was still a mild 17 degrees – perfect for harvesting grapes. Despite the fact that we nursed the vineyards throughout the year to get the best quality , we still need to apply quality control during harvest. Luckily we had a very good team of workers attending to the grapes, ensuring that no leaves or any slightly damaged grapes goes to the cellar.
I am very happy with the grapes. Excellent flavour and colour on the grapes. It’s in the tanks and just chilling. Can’t wait to taste the juice!
